Commercials

I never was the kind of girl who could book bubbly commercial spots. But somehow I've managed to be in commercials airing in both New Zealand and Australia. Pretty crazy seeing the latter come on the t.v. last night! It was a really amazing experience for me to be able to do these TVC's. I normally do a lot of lingerie and other, sexier, "body" type jobs. I was sure after the GrabOne casting that I had really mucked it up. I was supposed to do this scene where I smell these bowling shoes. Rupert would have me do something and I was not understanding exactly. We had to do it three or four times. "No you just sort of smell them! Not a huge wiff!"  I was laughing at myself and cracking stupid jokes at him. So when I showed up at my agency and they said I was on option for it, I was pretty stoked. Then I booked it; my very first commercial. I showed up to the fitting and the director was saying things like "aaah those shorts are just a little too short" and "we need more cover up on that shirt." (needless to say all of the outfits seemed pretty covered up and harmless to me!) I spent the day bowling and throwing cheesy laughs around. (they even threw mine in at the end of the spot!) My favorite green pants made it into the commercial too. I wore them to the fitting and the director loved them. Then I get to Sydney and one of the first things I booked was the StyleTread spot. The other model (Ashley) and I basically sat on a bed on set and examined shoes for half the day. It's amazing how many shots you do. Then you see the commercial and there is like 5 seconds of it.

So here you go guys; my first commercials...
